Wellness - Marianske Lazne - Marienbad

Think of the most traditional Spa you can imagine, kept in Habsburgian yellow and white, with magnificent treatments and traditional Czech cuisine and beers: that is Marienbad. Set in a beautiful valley in the Kaiserwald (Emperor's Forest) in the Czech Republic, close to the German border this Spa hosted Edward VII and Johann Wolfgang v. Goethe among many more celebrities. If we believe Goethe's Marienbad Elegy then the mineral sources are quite a fountain of youth and made him court a young lady, his last unresponded love. We typically take a group to Marienbad in February for a two week Spa experience, but also offer individual trips of any length on request. In August Marienbad celebrates another important guest, Frederic Chopin, with a festival of impressive musical interpreters - which we also offer as part of our programme.
